Dustin Johnson's six-under-66 kept him at the top of the heap -- along with five others after the first day of competition at the Players Championship in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Johnson is tied with Webb Simpson, Alex Noren, Chesson Hadley, Matt Kuchar and Patrick Cantlay at the start of day two. Veterans Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson both had disappointing showings. Woods finished the course with a 72 while Mickelson logged a 79.
In addition to number one ranked Johnson, the field includes 48 more of the 50 top players in the Official World Golf Rankings.
