Listen to Oklahoma Sooners head coach Lincoln Riley join The Herd to discuss his former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Kyler Murray just hours before the 2019 NFL Draft.
Murray is the consensus no. 1 pick to the Arizona Cardinals in Draft projections, but has still carried a substantial amount of doubt with him as many have still questioned his size and throwing ability as a quarterback who was the best scrambler in college football last season.
Riley told Colin Cowherd that Murray has the same arm talents as his former Sooners signal caller Baker Mayfield, and believes Murray can make all the throws that professional quarterbacks have to make to survive in the NFL.
Check out the audio below as Riley also makes it clear that Murray will never step foot in a baseball batter’s box again, and talks about how the Big 12’s pass-happy air raid was once a punchline, but now it’s a revolution that the NFL is desperate to be a part of.
